Dhwani Maheshwari moved to Dubai in 2019 with one goal in mind: to care for her children. Like many parents, she saw how easy it was for kids to fall in love with junk food—and how hard it was to get them excited about traditional, healthier meals.
But instead of putting up a fight, Dhwani got curious: Could she recreate fast food her kids would love—but without the grease, additives, and guilt? That question lit the spark for what would become Dip and Dash.

No Culinary Degrees, Just Culinary Love
Neither Dhwani nor her mother-in-law Neelima are professional chefs. But what they lacked in formal training, they made up for in love for food and innovation. From their own kitchen, they began testing recipes with fresh, homemade ingredients. No bottled sauces, no shortcuts.
Dhwani’s mother-in-law curated unique dips and sauces—from hand-ground curry pastes to slow-cooked tomato basil sauces. Even classic comfort foods like pizza got a healthy makeover, with millet and multigrain flour crusts, tofu-based cheese, and sugar-free sauces.
And those famous purple dimsums? Coloured naturally using vegetables like beetroot and purple cabbage.

Dip and Dash quickly outgrew their kitchen as people began noticing the colourful, plant-powered dishes. Whether it’s jackfruit bánh mì sandwiches with Thai chili, pumpkin-based hummus with avocado salsa, or buckwheat noodles replacing the usual white flour options, every item on the menu reflects thoughtful reinvention.
They didn’t hire trained chefs—instead, they brought in people who loved food and cooking. “I was looking for passion, not qualifications,” Dhwani explains. “Because that’s what makes the food taste real.”
Their children even named the dishes, bringing a personal, playful charm to the menu: think Hello Pomelo, Wow Bao, and Better Bitter Melon.
