Emaar Properties concluded its participation in the fifth edition of “Make it in the Emirates,” held from May 4 to 7, 2026, reaffirming its commitment to supporting the UAE’s industrial ecosystem and strengthening local value creation.
During the event, Emaar recorded contracts worth nearly AED 70 billion, underlining its continued focus on reinforcing local supply chains and driving economic value within the country. The figure also reflects the company’s ongoing efforts to expand cooperation with UAE-based suppliers and manufacturers across its major development projects.
Emaar’s participation builds on its cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology under the National In-Country Value Program. Through this partnership, the company continues to integrate local content considerations into its procurement strategy, encourage supplier accreditation, and support the growth of companies operating in the UAE, as well as national talent.
Emaar’s presence at the exhibition received strong engagement, with significant interest in its pavilion from local manufacturers, suppliers, and industry stakeholders. Through a series of meetings and discussions, the company explored new opportunities to strengthen partnerships and include more locally produced materials and services in its projects.
This approach supports the UAE’s vision to increase national in-country value, encourage innovation, and build a more resilient and diversified economy. It also reflects Emaar’s role in connecting major real estate development with the broader industrial and manufacturing sectors in the country.
During the exhibition, Emaar presented an interactive experience under the theme “Built with Vision, Delivered by Emirati Excellence.” The showcase highlighted the company’s position as a leading UAE success story and its contribution to national development through its residential communities, retail destinations, hospitality assets, and tourism projects.
The experience also emphasized Emaar’s impact in supporting the growth of local suppliers, empowering Emirati talent, and strengthening its integrated network of destinations. In addition, it highlighted the company’s commitment to increasing local procurement and supporting businesses operating within the UAE.
As part of the event, Mohamed Alabbar, founder of Emaar, took part in a high-level panel discussion on family businesses and their role as pillars of resilience and continuity. He shared lessons drawn from previous economic cycles and stressed the importance of building strong institutions capable of adapting to challenges.
Alabbar also pointed to the value of long-term thinking, discipline, and flexibility in sustaining growth, noting that well-established organizations are better positioned to adapt and move forward strongly amid changing market conditions.
Emaar’s participation in “Make it in the Emirates” reflects its continued efforts to support national priorities by enabling local companies to take part in major development projects. The company continues to prioritize cooperation with local partners across construction, design, and operations, while maintaining high quality standards and supporting the growth of the UAE’s industrial base.
