The UAE government

The UAE government has announced a groundbreaking AED 300 million fund dedicated to supporting youth-driven projects. This initiative reflects the nation’s steadfast commitment to empowering its young population and integrating them into the socio-economic framework. By backing creative and innovative ideas, the fund aims to nurture talent and drive the country’s development goals.

National Youth Agenda 2031

The AED 300 million fund aligns with the UAE’s National Youth Agenda 2031, which seeks to position Emirati youth as global role models. The agenda is built around five pillars:

  • Economic Contribution: Promoting youth-led businesses and economic participation.
  • Community Engagement: Encouraging active involvement in community development.
  • Global Leadership: Preparing youth to be international ambassadors for the UAE.
  • Technological Proficiency: Equipping young people with future-ready skills.
  • Well-being: Enhancing the quality of life and health of young Emiratis.

The agenda also aims to prepare over 100 Emirati youth for international forums and elevate the UAE’s standing in global youth well-being indices.

Federal Youth Authority and Support Platforms

Established in 2018, the Federal Youth Authority (FYA) plays a pivotal role in empowering youth, ensuring their voices shape national policies. Key initiatives like the Emirates Youth Opportunities Platform offer resources such as scholarships, training, and volunteering opportunities to help youth develop essential skills.

Public-Private Partnerships and Leadership Commitment

The AED 300 million fund also emphasizes collaboration between the public and private sectors, focusing on education, innovation, and technology. UAE leaders, including His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan President of the United Arab Emirates, have stressed the importance of youth in driving the nation’s progress.
