The Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza), a subsidiary of DP World and a leading provider of integrated smart logistics solutions, reported a substantial increase in new company registrations in 2024. The free zone welcomed 990 new businesses, bringing the total number of companies operating within Jafza to 10,850 by the end of the year. This marks a 12.5% increase in new company registrations compared to 2023, which saw 880 new entrants.
Overall, the total number of companies in Jafza grew by approximately 7.5%, rising from 10,100 at the end of 2023 to 10,850 by the close of 2024. As one of the world’s largest free trade zones, Jafza hosts thousands of companies from over 150 countries, including major multinational corporations. The free zone significantly contributes to foreign direct investment in Dubai and provides employment to over 135,000 individuals.
