In a significant move towards realizing its ambitious D33 economic agenda, Dubai is set to create 465,000 new jobs, according to the “Jobs of the Future” report released by the Department of Economy and Tourism in collaboration with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority. The report indicates that the emirate will require a total of 765,000 jobs, including reskilling 300,000 existing positions to align with future market demands.

The industrial sector leads the demand with 90,000 new roles, followed by hospitality and food services (60,000), administration and support (60,000), education (55,000), and finance and insurance (50,000). Other sectors such as real estate, healthcare, information and communication technology, and professional services also feature prominently in the job creation plan.

The report highlights the need for professionals in areas like biomedical engineering, big data, artificial intelligence, risk management, pharmaceuticals, sustainability, supply chain management, and business analysis.

A key component of the D33 strategy is the integration of approximately 65,000 Emiratis into the private sector by 2033. This initiative aims to enhance national participation in the workforce, focusing on sectors such as healthcare, education, public services, transportation, finance, manufacturing, IT, and retail. The plan includes engaging 4,000 currently unemployed individuals, 26,000 university students, and 36,000 school students in the workforce pipeline.

Dubai’s education system plays a crucial role in supporting this vision, with over 430,000 students enrolled in 297 schools offering diverse curricula. The city’s commitment to high-quality education is evident in its students’ strong performance in international assessments, positioning Dubai as a leading educational hub in the region.

This comprehensive approach to job creation and talent development underscores Dubai’s dedication to fostering a dynamic and inclusive economy that meets the evolving needs of its diverse population.
