In a significant move to bolster its position in the global financial landscape, the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) has entered into a strategic partnership with the International Private Equity Market (IPEM). Announced during the Dubai FinTech Summit, this collaboration aims to bring the renowned IPEM event to Dubai for the first time in December 2025, under the banner “IPEM Future.”
IPEM, recognized as a premier platform for private equity networking and deal-making, traditionally hosts its events in France. The decision to expand to Dubai underscores the city’s growing influence in the realm of private capital. The upcoming IPEM Future event is anticipated to attract a diverse array of global investors, fund managers, and innovators, focusing on transformative sectors such as artificial intelligence, climate technology, longevity, and space exploration.
Arif Amiri, Chief Executive Officer of DIFC Authority, highlighted the significance of this partnership:
“The current global economic environment has amplified investor appetite for private capital, often viewed as resilient, long-term, and less susceptible to short-term market risks. The partnership with IPEM spotlights Dubai and DIFC as a global destination for long-term capital deployment, and aligns with our vision to drive the future of finance and position Dubai among the world’s leading global financial centres.”
Antoine Colson, CEO of IPEM, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration:
“Dubai is a global hub for creative and transformative capital — a natural home for ‘IPEM Future’. This new event brings together the boldest LPs and GPs backing breakthroughs in AI, climate tech, longevity, space, and more. It is where private capital does not just perform – it transforms.”
This initiative aligns with DIFC’s Strategy 2030, which aims to position Dubai among the leading global financial centres. By hosting IPEM Future, DIFC not only enhances its reputation as a nexus for private equity but also reinforces its commitment to fostering innovation and sustainable economic growth.
The introduction of IPEM Future in Dubai marks a pivotal moment in the city’s financial evolution, offering a dynamic platform for stakeholders to explore investment opportunities and forge strategic partnerships in the ever-evolving landscape of private capital.
