The World’s Tallest Hotels (Descending Order)
1. Ciel Dubai Marina
The latest addition to Dubai’s ever-evolving skyline, Ciel Dubai Marina tops the list as the tallest hotel in the world, standing at an impressive 377 meters. Opening its doors to guests from November 15, 2025, this ultra-modern property in Dubai Marina features over 800 rooms, three outdoor pools (including the world’s highest infinity pool), eight dining destinations, a luxury spa, and a state-of-the-art fitness center.
2. Gevora Hotel, Dubai
Once the record holder, Gevora Hotel still stands tall at 356 meters on Sheikh Zayed Road. Its shimmering golden exterior and 75 floors house 528 rooms, offering guests a luxurious stay in the heart of the city.
3. JW Marriott Marquis, Dubai
At 355 meters, this twin-tower hotel operated by Marriott International was the tallest hotel in the world when completed in 2012. Inspired by the silhouette of a date palm, its unique design includes two towers and offers a wide range of luxury accommodations and services.
4. Conrad Shanghai – Shimao International Plaza, China
The first non-Dubai entry in the list, Conrad Shanghai occupies the upper floors of the 333.3-meter tall Shimao International Plaza. This mixed-use skyscraper also includes retail outlets and entertainment venues, and was completed in 2006.
5. Rose Rayhaan by Rotana, Dubai
Back on Sheikh Zayed Road, the 333-meter tall Rose Rayhaan features a striking blue and silver facade with a floral-inspired crown. It includes 462 rooms and suites, and has been welcoming guests since 2009.
6. Burj Al Arab, Dubai
An architectural icon and global symbol of luxury, Burj Al Arab stands on an artificial island at 280 meters high. Designed to resemble the sail of a dhow, it boasts a private helipad, lavish interiors, and remains one of the most recognizable hotels in the world.
7. Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel, Dubai
Part of the famous Emirates Towers complex, this hotel reaches 309 meters and features 400 guest rooms over 56 floors. Surrounded by lush greenery and water features, it has long been a fixture of Dubai’s skyline.
8. Baiyoke Tower II, Bangkok
Tied with Emirates Towers in height (309 meters), Baiyoke Tower II is one of Thailand’s tallest buildings. It offers 673 guest rooms and features a revolving observation deck with panoramic views of Bangkok.
9. Wuxi Maoye City – Marriott Hotel, China
This skyscraper hotel in Wuxi, China stands at 304 meters and has been a prominent part of the city’s skyline since 2014.
10. The Tower Plaza Hotel, Dubai
Closing the list is yet another Dubai gem, located along Sheikh Zayed Road. Tower Plaza Hotel reaches 294 meters and sits next to the Museum of the Future, offering premium hospitality and stunning views of the city.
