Dubai Chamber Welcomes Over 18,000 New Members in Q1 2025

In a remarkable start to 2025, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce has announced the addition of 18,160 new companies to its membership roster during the first quarter. This surge underscores Dubai’s escalating status as a magnet for global business ventures.

The Chamber’s latest figures reveal a 16.8% year-on-year growth in exports and re-exports by its members, amounting to approximately AED 86 billion. Additionally, the issuance of certificates of origin saw a 7% increase, totaling 204,240 documents. The Chamber also processed 1,656 temporary admission documents for goods, valued at nearly AED 984 million.

Efforts to support local businesses in expanding internationally have borne fruit, with 28 companies venturing into new global markets in Q1 2025—a 75% rise compared to the same period last year.

His Excellency Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of Dubai Chambers, emphasized the organization’s commitment to bolstering Dubai’s economic competitiveness and fostering sustainable public-private partnerships.

The Chamber’s Business Advocacy sector reviewed 10 laws and draft laws in collaboration with business groups, achieving a 55% adoption rate of private sector recommendations. It also held 55 meetings with business councils and groups, marking a 166% increase from the previous year, and facilitated four meetings between these groups and relevant authorities.

Two new business councils—the Indonesian and Hungarian Business Councils—were established, reflecting the Chamber’s dedication to international collaboration. The Chamber also handled 45 mediation cases worth AED 7.3 million, indicating a 50% rise in case numbers and a 232% increase in their value.

To enhance legal awareness, the Chamber organized 10 educational events attended by 587 representatives from various private sector companies. Furthermore, it participated as a key partner in the 2025 World Government Summit in Dubai, leading a roundtable on family business governance and sustainability, attended by over 50 senior executives and government officials.

These initiatives highlight the Dubai Chamber of Commerce’s pivotal role in driving economic growth and reinforcing Dubai’s position as a leading global business destination.
