Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of the three chambers operating under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, has launched the Uzbek Business Council in a move aimed at supporting the growth of trade and investment relations between Dubai and Uzbekistan and expanding areas of cooperation between the two business communities across various sectors.

The establishment of the council comes amid the continued development of economic ties between the two sides, helping create new partnership opportunities, support the presence of Uzbek companies in Dubai, and open broader channels for trade and investment cooperation.

Significant Growth in Trade Between Dubai and Uzbekistan

Economic indicators reflect the growing strength of relations between Dubai and Uzbekistan, with the value of non-oil trade between Dubai and Uzbekistan reaching AED 10.3 billion in 2025.

At the same time, the number of active Uzbek companies registered as members of Dubai Chamber of Commerce reached 826 companies by the end of 2025, representing annual growth of 21.3%.

A further 75 new Uzbek companies joined the chamber’s membership during the first half of 2026, reflecting continued interest among the Uzbek business community in the opportunities Dubai provides for trade, investment, and expansion into new markets.

A Platform to Support Companies and Investors

The Uzbek Business Council held its first meeting at Dubai Chambers’ headquarters, where participants discussed ways to develop joint business opportunities and strengthen mutual investments between the two sides.

The meeting also explored mechanisms to deepen ties between Uzbek companies and their counterparts in Dubai, in addition to exchanging expertise and information and organizing bilateral business events that can help expand communication and cooperation between the two business communities.

The council serves as a platform to support companies and investors and facilitate the development of new commercial relationships that can contribute to increasing investment opportunities and strengthening partnerships across a range of sectors.

New Horizons for Economic Partnerships

Maha Al Gergawi, Vice President of Business Advocacy at Dubai Chambers, said that the council will open new horizons for bilateral cooperation across various sectors and contribute to strengthening economic growth and building sustainable, long-term partnerships.

The launch of the council reflects Dubai Chamber of Commerce’s commitment to strengthening communication channels with the Uzbek business community and supporting companies in benefiting from opportunities available on both sides, contributing to the development of economic relations in the coming period.

For his part, Ulugbekhon Maksumov, Chairman of the Uzbek Business Council in Dubai, affirmed that the council represents a practical platform for connecting entrepreneurs with trusted partners and helping investors explore new opportunities, supporting the growth of trade, investment, and economic cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and Uzbekistan.

The council is expected to strengthen communication between entrepreneurs and investors and provide a practical platform for identifying new opportunities and building partnerships that serve the ambitions of companies on both sides.
