Broad-Based Gains in Blue-Chip Stocks Support Dubai and Abu Dhabi Markets

UAE stock markets opened Thursday’s trading session with broad-based gains, supported by increases in several blue-chip stocks in both the Abu Dhabi and Dubai markets.

The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange index rose 0.46% to 9,816.76 points, while the Dubai Financial Market index advanced 0.42% to 5,809.80 points.

Blue-Chip Stocks Support the Abu Dhabi Market

In the Abu Dhabi market, blue-chip stocks led the upward movement, with First Abu Dhabi Bank shares rising 2.68% to AED 18.36.

e& shares also increased 1.29% to AED 20.30, while Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank shares gained 1.12% to AED 14.34.

The gains also included Julphar, which rose 2.91% to AED 1.06, as well as Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, which advanced 1.55% to AED 20.92.

Gains in Several Dubai Market Stocks

In the Dubai Financial Market, several blue-chip stocks recorded positive performances during early trading.

du shares rose 1.29% to AED 12.52, while Dubai Islamic Bank shares increased 1.22% to AED 7.43.

Emirates NBD shares also gained 1.91% to AED 29.86, while Salama shares rose 0.33% to AED 0.90.

This positive performance was supported by gains in blue-chip stocks across both markets, helping strengthen the indexes at the start of the session.
