Dubai continues to reinforce its position as a global business hub, attracting thousands of new companies from around the world. According to recent figures, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce recorded a strong influx of new non-UAE companies during the first half of 2025, reflecting investor confidence in the emirate’s business-friendly environment and strategic location.
Indian companies once again topped the list of new foreign members, with a remarkable 9,038 businesses joining the chamber in just six months. This marks a 14.9% increase compared to the same period in 2024, underscoring Dubai’s continued appeal to Indian entrepreneurs and investors.
Closely following, Pakistani businesses secured the second spot with 4,281 new companies, achieving an 8.1% annual growth. Egyptian firms came in third, with 2,540 new members and a growth rate of 8.3%.
The standout performance, however, came from Bangladeshi businesses. With 1,541 new companies joining the chamber, Bangladesh registered an impressive 37.5% year-on-year growth — the highest among all nationalities. This surge placed Bangladesh in fourth position, highlighting a growing trend of Bangladeshi entrepreneurs establishing operations in Dubai.
The United Kingdom ranked fifth, adding 1,385 new businesses with an 11.1% growth rate. Other notable contributors included Syria with 945 companies, China with 772, and Jordan with 688. Turkey followed with 642 new businesses, while Canada rounded out the top ten with 535.
This diverse representation of countries highlights Dubai’s status as a preferred destination for global business expansion. Entrepreneurs are drawn to its streamlined regulations, access to regional and global markets, and supportive infrastructure.
Sector-wise, wholesale and retail trade dominated the scene, accounting for the largest share of new business activity. Real estate, business services, and construction also featured prominently, reflecting strong demand across key economic sectors.
Overall, the first half of 2025 marked another milestone for the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, as it welcomed over 35,000 new companies. With growth seen across both emerging and established markets, Dubai continues to prove itself as a thriving center for international business.
