Dubai Launches First Phase of Fully Digital Property Sales via Dubai Now App

Dubai

Dubai has officially entered a new era of real estate innovation with the launch of the first phase of its “Digital Sale” service, introduced by the Dubai Land Department (DLD) through the “Dubai Now” app. This major milestone reflects the city’s commitment to digital transformation, providing residents with seamless, round-the-clock access to real estate services.

Unveiled during the GITEX Global 2025 tech exhibition, the Digital Sale service allows users to complete every step of a property sale — from drafting and signing contracts to transferring payments and issuing title deeds — entirely online. This initiative is part of Dubai’s broader goals outlined in the Economic Agenda D33 and the Real Estate Strategy 2033, aiming to make the city a global benchmark in speed, efficiency, and security for real estate transactions.

A Fully Remote Property Sale Experience

The new service delivers a streamlined and completely digital journey between buyer and seller. Here’s how it works:

  1. The seller initiates the process by creating a digital sale contract within the app.

  2. After signing it electronically using UAE Pass, the contract is sent to the buyer for a matching digital signature.

  3. Once the buyer completes the payment to a designated escrow account, the title deed is instantly issued in their name — all from within the app.

This process eliminates paperwork and in-person appointments, offering unmatched convenience and transparency while maintaining high levels of data security and trust.

Conditions for Using the Digital Sale Service

To ensure smooth usage of the new digital service, certain conditions must be met:

  • Both seller and buyer must have valid Emirates IDs.

  • Both parties need active UAE Pass accounts to complete electronic signatures.

  • The property must be located within designated freehold areas.

  • It must fall under the category of residential units, commercial units, or townhouses.

  • The property must be mortgage-free and owned by a single individual.

  • The buyer must hold a valid bank account within the UAE.

Dubai Now: A Central Hub for Smart Services

The Dubai Now app, a unified platform for public and private sector services, already offers access to over 350 services from more than 50 entities. The integration of digital property sales into this ecosystem further positions it as a one-stop hub for residents navigating life in the city.

Boosting Investor Confidence and Market Competitiveness

This digital transformation not only enhances the user experience but also strengthens Dubai’s reputation as a leading destination for sustainable and secure real estate investment. By increasing market transparency and eliminating friction from the buying process, the Digital Sale service supports long-term growth in the property sector.

As part of its showcase at GITEX Global, the Land Department also introduced the Real Estate Instant Registration Platform — a real-time dashboard displaying live property transactions across the emirate. This move reinforces transparency and provides valuable insights for investors and stakeholders.

Dubai continues to redefine the future of urban living by embedding innovation into every aspect of city life — and the real estate sector is no exception. The Digital Sale service is just one more step toward building a smarter, more accessible, and investor-friendly Dubai.
