Meraas, part of Dubai Holding Real Estate, has awarded major construction contracts worth AED 2.4 billion to deliver new phases of its villa communities, The Acres and The Acres Estates, in Dubailand.

The move reflects the continued growth of Dubai’s high-quality villa segment, supported by steady demand from both local and international buyers seeking integrated residential communities that offer privacy, spacious homes, and a lifestyle connected to nature.

Under the awarded contracts, United Engineering Construction Company “UNEC” will carry out the works for The Acres, while GCC Contracting will undertake the construction of The Acres Estates.

The contracts cover the construction, testing, commissioning, and handover of 557 villas. The final phase of The Acres will include 371 villas with three to five bedrooms, along with the main infrastructure works for the community. Meanwhile, The Acres Estates will feature 186 villas with five to seven bedrooms, designed on a larger scale and with a greater focus on privacy.

Engineer Abdul Halim Muwahid, Chairman of United Engineering Construction Company “UNEC”, said the company’s selection to deliver The Acres reflects a shared commitment to disciplined execution and reliable quality. He confirmed the company’s commitment to delivering the project with the technical precision and efficiency required for a development of this level, while supporting long-term value creation.

The Acres is a villa community designed around a close connection with nature. It is centred around Halo Loop Park and features landscaped green spaces and resort-style amenities. The Acres Estates builds on this vision with larger residences, carefully selected architectural designs, waterfront elements, natural landscapes, and swimmable lagoons.

The project has received preliminary certification for LEED Gold for residential communities, reflecting its focus on sustainable design, efficient use of resources, and long-term environmental performance.
