University of Dubai Receives Global Financial Quality Certification

The University of Dubai has renewed its Global Financial Quality Certificate 20000 MSI for the seventh year in a row, for the 2025 fiscal year, reaffirming its continued commitment to the certificate’s requirements and standards related to financial performance quality.

The university first received this certificate in late 2020, becoming the first educational institution in the region to earn it. Since then, it has continued to maintain the certification year after year, reflecting its keenness to develop its financial systems and strengthen governance and institutional management practices.

The evaluation report showed that the University of Dubai achieved an overall financial compliance score of 160.58 out of 200, equivalent to more than 80%. This result reflects the stability of the university’s financial performance and its ability to meet the standards required to obtain the certificate.

The report also indicated that the university recorded strong results in benchmark comparisons within the higher education sector. These comparisons included several leading global academic institutions, such as Oxford, Amsterdam, Quebec, the University of London, Paris School of Business, and others. The University of Dubai achieved advanced performance in some financial standards compared with these institutions.

Dr. Eesa Bastaki, President of the University of Dubai, said that renewing the certificate supports the university’s efforts to develop its financial strategies and reflects its commitment to continuous improvement in its financial position and risk management.

He added that obtaining this certificate for the seventh consecutive year was the result of the university’s commitment to financial quality standards. He noted that the score achieved in 2025 represents a positive development in financial performance and the alignment of operational practices with strategic goals.

Bastaki further stated that financial quality is an important part of overall quality in any institution seeking success and progress, especially educational institutions that need to manage their resources efficiently to support their academic and institutional journey.

This achievement confirms the University of Dubai’s continued commitment to strengthening financial practices based on transparency and efficiency, enhancing its ability to continue development and achieve its goals in the higher education sector.
