Emirati Chef Table Empowering Local Talent and Transforming Dubai’s Culinary Landscape

Emirati Chef's Table

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises Development has partnered with Kitopi — a leading regional player in the F&B industry — to launch the “Emirati Chef’s Table” initiative.

This collaboration is rooted in the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, aiming to establish Dubai as a top destination for entrepreneurs and small businesses. The initiative’s focus is to nurture homegrown food businesses, support their long-term growth, and unlock fresh opportunities for talented Emirati chefs ready to take their culinary dreams to new heights.

Professional Mentorship and Business Support

The first cohort of the program includes five Emirati entrepreneurs who will receive tailored mentorship from a select group of experts in the food and beverage field. These entrepreneurs will gain hands-on guidance, professional insights, and opportunities to network with key players across both public and private sectors.

Beyond mentorship, participants will have access to investment opportunities and resources to help them expand and scale their businesses. Their journeys will be celebrated and shared through dedicated promotional campaigns, spotlighting their growth from humble beginnings to the creation of innovative, standout culinary offerings.

Elevating Emirati Culinary Talent

Acting Executive Director of the Establishment, Ahmed Alrom Al Muhairi, emphasized that human capital is a cornerstone of the D33 agenda. He noted that the Emirati Chef’s Table is more than just a mentorship program — it’s a platform for instilling confidence in talented local chefs, giving them the tools and exposure to turn passion into sustainable business ventures.

“We aim to develop skilled talent that not only meets the needs of the market but exceeds them. Our mission is to clear the path for talented citizens to grow, thrive, and contribute meaningfully to Dubai’s vibrant food and beverage sector,” said Al Muhairi.

Dubai: A Rising Global Culinary Capital

Kitopi’s Co-founder and CEO, Mohamad Ballout, highlighted Dubai’s rapid evolution into a global culinary hotspot. Through this initiative, Kitopi is offering Emirati entrepreneurs access to its infrastructure, technology, and industry expertise, helping them craft brands that remain true to their cultural roots while being globally competitive.

“Dubai is quickly becoming one of the world’s most dynamic culinary capitals. We’re proud to play a part in shaping that future by helping local brands grow and thrive,” Ballout stated.

A Celebration of Local Creativity

The Emirati Chef’s Table initiative also responds to a growing appetite for authentic local cuisine. It positions Dubai as a city that blends creativity, culture, and entrepreneurship in the culinary world.

The initiative will unfold in three phases, starting with a two-month awareness campaign, followed by pop-up experiences and special showcases, including a feature during the UAE National Day celebrations. A second season, with a new group of talented Emirati chefs, is set to launch in early 2026.

This initiative represents more than just support — it’s a celebration of Emirati culinary identity and a step toward placing Dubai firmly on the global food map.
