Dubai has taken a bold step toward becoming a global hub for content creation with the launch of Creators HQ, a new center dedicated to supporting influencers and digital content creators. The initiative, which aims to attract 10,000 influencers to the UAE, is part of a larger vision to transform the country into a leader in digital media and creative industries.
Creators HQ offers cutting-edge facilities designed to meet the needs of modern creators. From advanced production studios equipped with the latest technology to workshops and training programs in areas like storytelling, photography, and platform optimization, the center is set to provide a comprehensive ecosystem for creators to thrive. Partnerships with tech giants like Google and Facebook ensure that creators have access to world-class expertise and resources.
This initiative builds on previous efforts to strengthen the UAE’s creative economy. Last year, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced a Dh150 million fund to support content creators. This funding aligns with Dubai’s broader goals of fostering innovation and establishing the city as a global hub for digital media.
The timing of the Creators HQ launch is no coincidence. It coincides with the highly anticipated 1 Billion Followers Summit, held in Dubai from January 11 to 13, 2025. The summit has drawn over 15,000 attendees, including 3,000 influencers from around the globe, along with 420 speakers and numerous industry experts. Workshops, networking opportunities, and panel discussions at the event aim to shape the future of digital content and its role in society.
One of the summit’s key highlights is the prestigious One Billion Award, a $1 million prize for the content creator whose work has made a meaningful impact. The award received over 16,000 applications and millions of online votes, showcasing the global reach of Dubai’s efforts to promote high-quality, impactful content.
With the establishment of Creators HQ, Dubai is not just inviting influencers to its shores but also investing in their growth and success. The initiative reflects a commitment to fostering a vibrant, innovative community that can contribute to the UAE’s digital economy and inspire audiences worldwide.
