Dubai is taking its digital ambition global once again. This April, Dubai Internet City (DIC) will be front and center at GITEX Asia 2024 in Singapore, presenting the emirate’s fast-evolving digital economy to the world.

DIC, widely known as one of the Middle East’s leading technology hubs, will join the official Dubai delegation, organized by the Department of Economy and Tourism (DET). The event, set to run from April 23 to 25, brings together global tech leaders, and Dubai is ready to shine.

Since its launch in 1999, Dubai Internet City has become a vital part of the UAE’s economic transformation. Today, it plays host to some of the world’s biggest tech brands—Microsoft, Google, IBM, Oracle, and others—while fostering a thriving environment for startups and entrepreneurs.

DIC’s presence at GITEX Asia isn’t just about brand exposure—it’s about telling a bigger story. It represents how Dubai has positioned itself as a magnet for digital innovation, a place where business-friendly policies, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and visionary leadership come together to create a global tech hub.

Part of the TECOM Group, Dubai Internet City contributes significantly to the city’s tech sector, which makes up around 65% of the total GDP from technology in Dubai. More than 125,000 professionals are employed in its network of companies—evidence of how rapidly the sector has expanded.

By showcasing Dubai’s digital success on a global stage like GITEX Asia, DIC continues to support the emirate’s goal of attracting top talent, forward-thinking businesses, and international investors. This is more than just a business mission—it’s a statement of intent from a city building the future of tech today.
