Dubai Home to 2,508 Active Filipino Companies as Trade Ties with the Philippines Strengthen

Dubai Chambers welcomed the First Lady of the Republic of the Philippines

Dubai Chambers welcomed the First Lady of the Republic of the Philippines, Louise Araneta-Marcos, at its headquarters yesterday in a visit aimed at reinforcing bilateral ties and expanding economic cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting was attended by Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Chairman of Dubai Chambers, and Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah, Director General of Dubai Chambers. During the session, officials revealed that the total number of active Filipino businesses registered with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce had reached 2,508 by the end of September 2025.

A detailed presentation was delivered, showcasing Dubai’s strengths as a global business hub and highlighting potential areas of collaboration between Dubai and the Philippines. The discussion also emphasized the unique advantages Dubai offers to Filipino businesses, including its strategic location, advanced infrastructure, and supportive business environment.

“This visit represents an important milestone in strengthening the partnership between Dubai and the Philippines,” said Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri. “We are committed to supporting Filipino businesses in expanding into regional and international markets by leveraging the competitive edge Dubai provides.”

The First Lady’s visit comes at a time when trade and investment ties between the two regions are gaining momentum. Non-oil bilateral trade between Dubai and the Philippines reached AED 3.1 billion in 2024. Additionally, 653 new Filipino companies joined the Dubai Chamber during the first nine months of 2025, bringing the total number to 2,508 by September.

In a further sign of deepening ties, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce—one of three chambers under Dubai Chambers—organized a trade mission to the Philippines last year. The delegation included representatives from 17 private-sector companies from a variety of industries, aiming to foster new business connections and investment opportunities.

The growing presence of Filipino businesses in Dubai underscores the emirate’s role as a magnet for global entrepreneurs and a key platform for international business expansion.
