In a significant move to bolster economic ties between Dubai and Germany, the Dubai Business Forum – Germany convened in Hamburg, attracting 240 prominent German business leaders, investors, and representatives from Dubai’s governmental and private sectors. The forum served as a pivotal platform for German enterprises to explore the vast opportunities presented by Dubai’s ambitious Economic Agenda (D33), which aims to double the city’s GDP by 2033 and position it among the top three global economic hubs.

Under the theme “Innovate, Invest, Integrate: Forging a New Path for Dubai-German Economic Synergy,” the event featured 25 speakers across 13 in-depth panel discussions. These sessions delved into Dubai’s strategic advantages, including its business-friendly environment, tax incentives, and access to global markets, all designed to attract multinational corporations, venture capital firms, and high-net-worth individuals seeking dynamic, high-growth investment environments.

His Excellency Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of Dubai Chambers, highlighted the robust trade relations between the two regions, noting that Germany ranks 15th among Dubai’s largest global trading partners. In 2024, the non-oil trade between Dubai and Germany reached AED 39.7 billion, marking an 8% year-over-year growth. Furthermore, the number of new German companies joining the Dubai Chamber of Commerce surged by 64% in 2024, reflecting growing confidence in Dubai’s position as a global business hub.

The forum also emphasized Dubai’s commitment to fostering innovation and sustainable growth. Sessions explored how German companies could leverage Dubai’s strategic location and infrastructure to expand into emerging markets across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. Opportunities in sectors such as green hydrogen, solar energy, and sustainability-focused projects were also discussed, aligning with Dubai’s long-term net-zero strategy.

By facilitating bilateral meetings and knowledge exchange, the Dubai Business Forum – Germany laid the groundwork for future collaborations, aiming to elevate UAE-German relations to strategic levels and support the growth of future-ready industries.
