Dubai Airports has received the Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award 2026, presented annually by the global research and analytics firm Gallup, for the second year in a row. The recognition reflects the quality of the organization’s work environment and its continued focus on strengthening employee engagement across its teams.
Dubai Airports ranked in the 77th percentile among organizations recognized by the award, after achieving an employee engagement score of 74%, compared with 71% last year. This improvement highlights the ongoing progress in employee experience and the impact of initiatives aimed at developing a more supportive and effective workplace.
The Gallup award is considered one of the leading global recognitions for workplace excellence. It is based on a wide database that includes 27.6 million participants and more than 6,000 organizations across over 200 countries. The award is granted to organizations that meet strict standards in employee engagement, development of employee strengths, and the ability to show how investment in human capital delivers measurable business results.
This recognition comes during an important year for Dubai Airports, as Dubai International Airport recorded the highest annual passenger traffic in its history. It also maintained its position as the world’s busiest airport for international passengers for the twelfth consecutive year.
Mishari Al Bannai, Chief People Officer at Dubai Airports, said that receiving the award reflects a strong organizational culture built on investing in employees, developing their capabilities, and empowering them to perform at their best. He noted that this approach has a direct impact on Dubai Airports’ overall performance and on the quality of the experience delivered to Dubai’s guests.
He added that employee engagement at Dubai Airports is not treated as a theoretical concept, but as an essential part of the organization’s daily working system, through an environment that helps employees grow, participate, and achieve better results.
Dubai Airports’ focus on employee wellbeing is also reflected in its continued investment in future skills development, alongside ongoing work to prepare Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International Airport for the next stage of growth.
The organization has also integrated artificial intelligence technologies into its learning and development strategy. This includes microlearning platforms supported by an AI-powered virtual coach, as well as modern tools used to produce high-quality training content.
Dubai Airports has also started using AI agents through Microsoft Copilot Studio, in addition to training tools such as Negotiation Coach and simulation-based practical programs that reflect the complex operational environments of airports.
