DMCC Moves Forward with New Uptown Dubai Towers, Boosting Business Hub

Uptown Dubai

The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) has announced the start of construction on two new towers in the heart of Uptown Dubai — a project that’s expected to redefine the area’s business and lifestyle offerings. The contract was awarded to Ali & Sons Contracting, setting the stage for one of the city’s most exciting developments in years.

These towers will bring more than just office space to the district. With around 62,000 square meters of high-end offices, along with restaurants and retail shops, the project is designed to create a vibrant atmosphere where work and leisure go hand in hand. A new link bridge will connect the towers to the existing Uptown Tower, making it easier for people to move across the area, while Uptown Plaza will become a hub for events and public gatherings.

What’s particularly noteworthy is DMCC’s focus on sustainability. The towers are being built to achieve LEED Gold certification, which means they will follow strict environmental standards, from energy efficiency to the use of eco-friendly materials. Cutting-edge construction techniques, including drone surveys and off-site prefabrication, will help keep the project on track and up to the highest standards.

Ahmed Bin Sulayem, DMCC’s Executive Chairman and CEO, shared his excitement, calling the project a major milestone and a response to the growing demand from global companies looking to set up in Dubai. Shamis Ali bin Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Vice Chairman of Ali & Sons, said the company is proud to be part of a project that reflects Dubai’s ambition and commitment to excellence.

As the towers start to take shape, Uptown Dubai is not just expanding — it’s evolving into a destination where businesses, residents, and visitors can experience the best the city has to offer.
