Brokerage firms operating on the Dubai Financial Market added about 55,630 new investor accounts during the first seven months of 2026, supported by a wider range of investment options, investor confidence in the strength of Dubai’s economy, the appeal of local stocks, and the solid financial results of listed companies.
The financial performance of listed companies also helped increase investor interest in the market and attract new groups of traders looking for opportunities across its listed sectors.
Annual Growth in New Accounts
Dubai Financial Market data showed that the total number of new accounts registered between January and the end of July 2026 increased by 7.14% year over year.
During the same period in 2025, the market registered 51,918 new accounts, reflecting continued growth in its investor base this year.
The new accounts were distributed as follows: 6,339 in January, 5,644 in February, 12,837 in March, and 7,356 in April.
A further 5,210 new accounts were registered in May, 6,874 in June, and 11,366 in July.
Brokerage Firms Attracting the Most New Accounts
BHM Capital Financial Services recorded the highest number of new accounts during the first seven months of the year, with a total of 18,271.
Emirates NBD Securities ranked second with 12,114 new accounts, followed by Al Ramz Capital with 7,773.
Abu Dhabi Islamic Securities added 6,827 new accounts, while Mashreq Securities registered 3,689.
Trading Value Reaches AED 263.69 Billion
Brokerage firms on the Dubai Financial Market executed about 5.06 million transactions during the first seven months of 2026, involving 72.76 billion shares with a total value of AED 263.69 billion.
EFG Hermes UAE accounted for the largest share of brokerage trading value from January through July, at 24.67%, equivalent to AED 63.67 billion.
Emirates NBD Securities ranked second with an 11.59% share and trading value of AED 30.56 billion.
Arqaam Securities followed with AED 30.4 billion in trading value and an 11.53% share, ahead of BHM Capital Financial Services, which recorded AED 25.95 billion and a 9.84% share.
BHM Capital Financial Services – Market Maker posted trading value of AED 14.48 billion, representing a 5.49% share.
July Records Strong Growth in New Accounts
On a monthly basis, brokerage firms on the Dubai Financial Market added 11,366 new accounts in July 2026, an increase of 50.7% year over year.
The market had registered 7,542 new accounts in July 2025, highlighting a clear rise in the number of new investors during the same month this year.
Trading value in July reached about AED 24.74 billion, involving 7.49 billion shares through 580,720 transactions.
EFG Hermes UAE held the largest share of trading value during the month, at 23.05%, with trades worth AED 5.7 billion.
Arqaam Securities ranked second with a 12.62% share and trading value of AED 3.12 billion, followed by BHM Capital Financial Services with AED 2.7 billion and a 10.99% share.
Emirates NBD Securities recorded AED 2.45 billion in trading value, representing a 9.93% share, while BHM Capital Financial Services – Market Maker posted AED 1.64 billion, accounting for 6.65%.
Continued Appeal of Local Stocks
The growth in new accounts reflects the continued appeal of the Dubai Financial Market, supported by a diverse range of investment opportunities, the strong performance of listed companies, and investor confidence in the resilience of Dubai’s economy.
The increase in accounts during July also points to a broader investor base, alongside continued trading activity and sustained interest in local stocks.
