Fatima Al Jaber

Fatima Al Jaber is a board member at the Gulf States Institute in Washington and the Al Jaber Group of Companies, where she also serves as chair of the projects committee. She oversees more than 50 entities and joint ventures across various sectors, including construction, trade, and logistics.

Since assuming leadership of the family-run Al Jaber Group in 2007, Fatima has managed multiple construction projects in the UAE. Under her direction, the company has grown and is now recognized as one of the largest private-sector employers in the country. The group manages assets valued at 20 billion dirhams and employs around 50,000 workers.

In 2009, Fatima became the first Emirati woman elected to the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry board. She advocates for the importance of skills, ambition, and development as key factors for success, emphasizing merit over gender.

Fatima holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the United Arab Emirates University, with a specialization in international business management. In 2014, she was included in Forbes magazine’s “100 Most Powerful Women in the World” list.
