Alya, a new institutional platform specializing in luxury residential developments across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), has announced the establishment of its regional headquarters at Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). The announcement coincides with Dubai Future of Finance Week and marks a step in the platform’s plans to strengthen its regional presence and develop residential projects that meet international standards in design, construction, and corporate governance.
Global Investment Backing
Alya is backed by Brookfield, a global investment firm, and Lunate, an independent global investment company headquartered in Abu Dhabi that manages more than $125 billion in assets.
The backing of both companies supports Alya’s plans to establish an institutional approach to luxury residential development across GCC markets.
Expanding Across Gulf Markets
By establishing its regional headquarters at DIFC, Alya will be able to benefit from the center’s integrated financial and regulatory environment while building closer relationships with international investment institutions and industry experts.
These connections will support the platform’s expansion plans across GCC countries, giving it access to the financial institutions and global expertise available through DIFC.
Alya operates under the supervision of the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), the independent regulator responsible for financial services conducted in or from DIFC.
Statements from Officials
Otto Dreyer, Chief Executive Officer of Alya, said the launch of the platform with the backing of Brookfield and Lunate represents a step toward building an institutional model for real estate development based on established standards of governance and transparency. He also expressed his pleasure at opening the regional headquarters at Dubai International Financial Centre.
Salman Jaffery, Chief Business Development Officer at DIFC Authority, said the center continues to attract companies backed by global institutions that choose Dubai as a base for the long-term growth of their regional operations.
He added that Alya’s decision to establish its regional headquarters at DIFC reflects the strength of the center’s institutional ecosystem and its role in connecting companies with the capital, expertise, and partnerships needed to support their expansion. He also reaffirmed DIFC’s commitment to supporting Alya’s plans and strengthening its presence across GCC markets.
