The performance was supported by growth across its telecommunications operations, digital infrastructure and AI-related services, alongside active management of its asset portfolio.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) increased 5.1% to AED 9 billion in the third quarter, with a margin of 46.1%. For the first nine months of the year, EBITDA rose 10.3% to AED 26.7 billion, with a margin of 46.4%.

During the quarter, the Group also completed the sale of its entire stake in Vodafone Group, generating total proceeds of AED 21.9 billion, including final dividend payments, and a net gain of approximately AED 8 billion.

The transaction contributed to the Group’s financial results and provided additional financial flexibility.

Digital Investments and Infrastructure Expansion

As it marks 50 years since its establishment, the Group announced that it would continue its journey under the Etisalat name, with a focus on strengthening its telecommunications business and expanding the use of artificial intelligence across its operations.

Its areas of focus include digital services, cloud computing, cybersecurity, financial technology and digital infrastructure.

The Group also plans to increase its international connectivity capacity to more than 500 terabits per second by 2030, more than 25 times its current capacity. The plans include developing diverse connectivity routes to improve efficiency, reliability and low-latency connectivity.

Business Resilience Supports Future Growth

Masood Sharif Mahmood, Chief Executive Officer of Etisalat Group, said, “The third-quarter financial results reflect the resilience of the Group’s business model and its ability to turn growth opportunities into tangible results.”

He pointed to consolidated revenue of AED 19.5 billion and EBITDA of AED 9 billion during the quarter.

Mahmood said the results reflected the performance of the telecommunications business and operational efficiency, reinforcing the Group’s confidence in its ability to sustain growth and create long-term value for stakeholders.

He also noted that the Group had spent recent years developing its capabilities in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cybersecurity, digital services and financial technology.

As the adoption of AI accelerates among businesses and government entities, he said Etisalat Group’s role in providing secure digital infrastructure and connectivity services to support digital transformation is becoming increasingly important.
