Oraseya Capital, the investment arm of the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ), has signed a memorandum of understanding with NQUBATOR, a platform specialized in innovating and building technology startups, with the aim of accelerating the transition of promising companies from the incubation stage to investment and supporting the growth of Dubai’s venture capital and technology ecosystem.
The memorandum was signed by Hassan Wahid, Deputy CEO of Finance at the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority and Partner at Oraseya Capital, and Saeed Hamad Al Hamli, Founder and CEO of NQUBATOR.
An Integrated Pathway for Tech Startups
The partnership aims to establish an integrated pathway for identifying, developing, and preparing early-stage technology startups, while improving their commercial and investment readiness and strengthening their ability to scale and grow.
The collaboration supports the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which seeks to reinforce Dubai’s position as a global hub for the digital economy and advanced technologies by creating a supportive environment for innovative ventures and improving their access to funding and investment opportunities.
Under the memorandum of understanding, NQUBATOR will nominate a selected group of companies that have completed its incubation programs and verification process to Oraseya Capital, which will evaluate potential investment opportunities in line with its investment strategy and established due diligence frameworks.
Supporting Investment Readiness and Innovation
Hassan Wahid said the partnership strengthens Oraseya Capital’s ability to engage with high-potential companies at an early stage and support their investment readiness and innovation-driven entrepreneurship.
Saeed Al Hamli said the collaboration helps connect startup founders with capital, expertise, and strategic networks, while supporting the development of the innovation ecosystem in the UAE.
The cooperation between the two parties reflects the importance of combining incubation programs with investment expertise, giving technology startups greater opportunities to move into more advanced stages of growth and benefit from a broad network of expertise and investment opportunities.
Mentorship and Co-Investment Opportunities
The partnership includes providing mentorship and advisory support to startups, as well as participating in pitch days and evaluation committees, helping founders develop their capabilities and improve the readiness of their ventures for growth and investment.
The two parties will also explore co-investment opportunities in selected funding rounds, supporting the expansion of promising technology companies while strengthening the competitiveness of the technology sector and its connection to global markets.
The agreement contributes to supporting Dubai’s entrepreneurship and innovation environment by expanding opportunities for technology startups to access funding, expertise, and strategic networks that can help them grow and build a stronger presence across global markets.
