Flydubai continues to expand its operations and strengthen its presence across regional and international aviation markets, supported by strong travel demand during the summer holiday season, the delivery of new aircraft, and the continued implementation of its network expansion plans.

According to operating schedules, the airline has planned 28,342 return flights between July and September 2026, offering around 4.855 million seats. The figures reflect flydubai’s ongoing efforts to increase capacity and meet the growing demand for travel to and from Dubai.

This operational growth comes as Dubai continues to reinforce its position as a global aviation hub and a leading destination for tourism and business, supported by steady passenger growth and strong demand for air travel throughout the summer months.

Scheduled Flights

flydubai scheduled an average of around 315 flights per day during the third quarter, while its average daily seat capacity reached approximately 53,900 seats, highlighting the intensity of its operations during one of the busiest travel periods of the year.

August recorded the highest number of flights during the quarter, with 9,936 return flights and around 1.704 million available seats, representing approximately 35.1 percent of the total seat capacity offered over the three-month period.

The strong performance in August reflects the rise in demand during the peak summer travel season, when families and tourists travel to a wide range of regional and international destinations.

September ranked second, with the airline scheduling 9,496 flights and providing around 1.626 million seats, supported by continued demand at the end of the summer season and the return of business and commercial travel activity.

July, which marked the beginning of the summer holiday season, recorded 8,910 return flights and around 1.524 million available seats, providing a strong start to the airline’s third-quarter operations.

Strong Operating Pace

The data shows that flydubai maintained a strong and balanced operating pace throughout the third quarter. Flight numbers increased by around 11.5 percent in August compared with July, while September continued to record high operating levels with 9,496 scheduled flights.

The airline maintained strong capacity throughout the quarter, highlighting its flexibility in managing its fleet and allocating flights in line with travel activity across different markets.

The average number of seats available per flight during the third quarter reached around 171, a level consistent with flydubai’s fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft across different variants and reflecting the efficient use of its aircraft to meet growing passenger demand.

flydubai continues to implement its expansion strategy by increasing seat capacity and strengthening air connectivity between Dubai and more than 120 destinations across 58 countries. Its network covers Africa, Central Asia, the Caucasus, Europe, the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, the Middle East, South Asia, and Southeast Asia.

The airline continues to benefit from the steady growth in passenger traffic through Dubai, as well as strong demand for leisure and business travel, supporting its plans to launch new destinations and increase flight frequencies on routes experiencing growing demand.

The strong operating performance also coincides with flydubai’s continued delivery of new aircraft as part of its fleet modernisation and capacity expansion plans, providing greater flexibility to operate additional flights and support further network growth.
