UAE Launches AI Project to Attract Talent and Skilled Workers

Within the framework of the new system for implementing self-executing Agentic AI models in government work, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, in cooperation with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, announced the launch of an advanced project to enhance labour market productivity, based on artificial intelligence technologies, smart algorithms, and robotics.

The project relies on artificial intelligence technologies, smart algorithms and robotics, and is designed to support the attraction of professional talent and skilled workers in line with the needs of the modern economy.

The initiative, which comes into effect today, is being introduced at a time when global labour markets are undergoing rapid changes. It also reflects the UAE’s continued efforts to strengthen its position as a leading global destination for talent and as an attractive environment for skilled professionals.

The project supports national efforts to build a more productive, diverse and balanced labour market. It also represents a practical response to the broad global transformation taking place in the nature of work and production, where skills, experience and knowledge are becoming increasingly important.

Under the new project, objective assessment mechanisms will be used for applicants seeking work permits. These mechanisms will be based on a set of clear indicators, including professional skills, educational level, previous experience and acquired knowledge.

The aim is to improve labour market efficiency, raise productivity levels and support the development of an economy built on knowledge and innovation.

Through this step, the UAE continues to use advanced technologies to develop government work and improve procedures related to the labour market. The project is expected to help support data-based decision-making and make it easier to attract the skills and expertise needed for the next stage of economic development.
