Dubai Healthcare City Authority has marked a new step in its expansion journey with the groundbreaking of two key development projects, Pixel DHCC and Ibn Sina+.
The projects form part of the AED 1.3 billion Phase 1 development plan for Dubai Healthcare City and reflect the authority’s ongoing efforts to enhance the district’s infrastructure, attract investment, and support the continued growth of Dubai’s healthcare sector.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Issam Kazim Kaldari, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Healthcare City Authority, along with senior representatives from the project partners and stakeholders.
Commenting on the milestone, Kaldari said the launch of Pixel DHCC and Ibn Sina+ represents an important stage in the implementation of the authority’s development plan. He noted that the new facilities will combine sustainability with high international design standards, helping to strengthen Dubai Healthcare City’s integrated ecosystem and attract further investment, particularly foreign direct investment.
He added that the projects also support the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the UAE Net Zero 2050 Strategy, while reinforcing Dubai Healthcare City’s position as a global destination for healthcare and wellness.
The first project, Pixel DHCC, is set to become the first office building in Dubai Healthcare City to receive LEED Platinum certification. Designed by P&T Architects and Engineers Ltd., the development will cover 13,000 square metres across nine floors.
Pixel DHCC will offer a range of office units designed to meet the needs of different businesses, along with retail spaces on the ground floor. The building is expected to provide a modern and sustainable workplace environment for companies operating within and around the healthcare sector.
The second project, Ibn Sina+, is a purpose-built medical complex designed under the supervision of Dubai-based Design and Architecture Bureau, DAR. The project will extend across 5,800 square metres over five floors.
Ibn Sina+ will provide flexible spaces suitable for surgical operating rooms, laboratories, outpatient clinics, medical units, and other healthcare-related services. The development will also serve as an extension of the existing Ibn Sina complex in Dubai Healthcare City.
Together, the two projects are expected to strengthen the district’s role as a destination for healthcare investment and specialised medical services. They also support the authority’s wider plans to create a more accessible and future-ready environment for Dubai Healthcare City’s growing community.
Alongside these developments, Dubai Healthcare City Authority is continuing to upgrade supporting infrastructure with a focus on universal accessibility and the needs of businesses, patients, healthcare professionals, and visitors.
