DGCX Strengthens Technology Infrastructure Through Strategic Partnership With TCS

Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global provider of information technology services, consulting, and business solutions, has announced a strategic partnership with the Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DGCX) to modernize its market infrastructure and strengthen its readiness for the future through the deployment of an integrated next-generation trading, clearing, and surveillance ecosystem.

The initiative is expected to support DGCX’s growth ambitions while enhancing its ability to respond to the evolving needs of market participants across regional and international markets, as the exchange continues to expand its range of products and services.

Comprehensive Upgrade of DGCX’s Market Infrastructure

The initiative will help establish a more flexible and scalable technology foundation for the Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange, supporting its future growth plans and improving operational efficiency.

The new infrastructure is also expected to accelerate product development and market launches, while strengthening the exchange’s ability to meet the requirements of participants locally, regionally, and internationally across both established and emerging asset classes.

The move forms part of DGCX’s broader efforts to develop its market ecosystem in line with the rapid changes taking place across financial services and commodities markets, while strengthening its ability to continue innovating and expanding.

Integrated Trading, Clearing, and Surveillance Platform

Under the agreement, Tata Consultancy Services will provide an integrated trading platform that brings together a range of specialized solutions designed for financial market infrastructure.

The ecosystem will include the TCS BaNCS Market Infrastructure platform to support clearing operations through a central counterparty, along with the Quartz surveillance platform, which is designed to monitor market activity and identify manipulation, fraud, and unusual trading behavior.

The solution will also include the TCS BaNCS Securities Trading platform, enabling market participants to trade across a diverse range of asset classes, as well as the TCS Quartz Gateway, which will provide market connectivity in line with established industry standards.

In addition, the ecosystem will support reporting, analytics, and decision-making capabilities powered by generative artificial intelligence, alongside exchange trading and order-matching solutions provided by a global partner specializing in exchange technology.

Supporting Growth and Improving Market Efficiency

These solutions form part of TCS’s Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance Products and Platforms portfolio, one of the company’s strategic business groups.

The portfolio focuses on helping financial services and insurance institutions improve customer experiences and drive broader transformation across their operations through intelligent, resilient, and interoperable technology ecosystems.

It also supports a number of leading financial markets around the world and provides integrated end-to-end solutions and services through operating models tailored to the needs of different institutions and markets.

These capabilities are expected to provide DGCX with a stronger technology foundation to support expansion, improve operational efficiency, and enhance its ability to develop new products and services.

Ahmed Bin Sulayem: Building the Foundation for the Next Phase of Growth

Commenting on the partnership, Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange, said:

“Building on the momentum recently achieved by the Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange, including high trading volumes during 2025 and the launch of innovative products such as the Spot Gold Contract (T+0), we continue to develop our infrastructure to ensure that our members benefit from the risk management tools they need to trade with confidence. Our partnership with Tata Consultancy Services will help establish the technology foundation for the next phase of our growth, strengthen our offerings across energy, currencies, equities, and precious metals, and expand our ability to develop new products and bring them to market. Dubai today stands among the world’s leading centers for commodities trading and capital flows, and we will continue to develop and strengthen our market infrastructure in line with this position, while connecting more regional and international participants with the products, technology, and connectivity solutions they need to access global opportunities.”

The partnership reflects DGCX’s efforts to build on the momentum achieved in recent years and use its upgraded technology infrastructure to broaden its offerings and strengthen its ability to attract more participants from regional and international markets.

Supporting a Broad Derivatives Portfolio

The solutions and services provided by Tata Consultancy Services will support the derivatives portfolio offered by the Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange across several asset classes.

These include energy commodities, currencies, equities, bullion, and precious metals, while also providing the technology infrastructure required for DGCX to continue developing innovative products and expanding into new areas.

The new ecosystem is also expected to support growth across emerging asset classes, including cryptocurrencies and tokenized assets, giving the exchange greater flexibility to respond to changing market trends and investor demand.

This direction supports DGCX’s ability to diversify its product offering while continuing to develop services that respond to the rapid transformation taking place across global financial markets.

T+0 Spot Gold Contract Reflects DGCX’s Focus on Innovation

The new partnership follows a series of recent product innovations introduced by the Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange, including the launch of the T+0 Spot Gold Contract in June 2026.

The contract is the first spot gold product in the Gulf Cooperation Council to be traded on a regulated exchange with physical settlement completed on the same day.
