Dubai hotels generated approximately AED 6.11 billion in room revenue during the first eight months of 2026, based on calculations using the average revenue per available room, which reached AED 283, and the 21.61 million hotel room nights booked during the period.

Tourism data showed that the number of booked hotel room nights from January through the end of August reached 21.61 million. Average room yield stood at AED 283, while the average daily rate reached AED 470.

Dubai also welcomed 6.97 million international visitors during the first eight months of the year.

The emirate’s hotel sector recorded improvements across a range of indicators in recent months compared with the beginning of the year. The stronger performance was supported by growth in visitor numbers, renewed activity in the events and exhibitions sector, the continued expansion plans of national airlines, and the return of several carriers operating flights through Dubai International Airport.

By the end of August, Dubai’s hotel capacity had reached approximately 148,700 rooms across 794 establishments representing different categories.

Five-star hotels accounted for 35% of Dubai’s total hotel room supply, with around 51,840 rooms across 162 properties.

Four-star hotels followed with a 29% share of the market, offering approximately 43,460 rooms across 194 establishments.

Hotels rated between one and three stars represented around 19% of Dubai’s total hotel market, with a combined capacity of approximately 28,330 rooms across 263 establishments.

Luxury hotel apartments accounted for another 9% of the market, with around 13,590 rooms across 82 properties.

Mid-range hotel apartments represented approximately 8% of total supply, providing 11,560 rooms across 93 establishments.

The performance recorded from the beginning of the year through the end of August reflects the efficiency of Dubai’s tourism ecosystem and the effectiveness of its local and international partnerships.

It also highlights the diversity of the markets in which Dubai has strengthened its presence over the years through cooperation with its partners and relevant stakeholders.

The results further reflect growing confidence in Dubai as a global tourism destination, as the remaining months of 2026 feature a wide range of events and experiences that are expected to strengthen the emirate’s appeal and offer visitors more opportunities to explore and enjoy the destination.
